The public is invited to come and see the boats, talk with the crew and enjoy dinner at any one of our 8 festival sites.

Saturday June 17th- Batteaux will depart from Percival's Island at Noon. This is one of the best chances to view the batteaux fleet as the roll is called and batteaux depart one at a time. Arrive early and get a chance to look at the boats and interact with the crews.

Saturday Evening June 17th - Batteaux will stop in the Stapleton area, arriving late afternoon. We will be camping in the field about 1 mile downstream from Galt's Mill itself. Dinner of Hot Dogs and Bar-B-Que will be served by Amelon United Methodist Church along with Breakfast Sun AM.

Sunday Evening June 18th - The stop is at Bent Creek, just past the Rt.60 bridge on river left. Dinner plans are not finalized but dinner will definitely be available for purchase. It has not yet been determined whether breakfast will be served Mon AM.

Monday Evening June 19th - Wingina will again host the festival for our Monday night stop. Plans as of now are for Dinner and breakfast to be served by the Lovingston Volunteer Fire Department.

Tuesday Evening June 20st- The Howardsville site will again be held on the property where the Rockfish River meets the James. Dinner and Breakfast will be available just a short walk across the Rockfish (or over the bridge depending on water level) at the Howardsville General Store.

Wednesday Evening June 21st- The batteau crew will be arriving in Scottsville in the late afternoon. After 5 days on the river, the conveniences of restaurants and showers are very much appreciated by all batteaux crew. Camping will be available for tents at the river just upriver from the DGIF property or at the school as in past years. Camping trailers & RVs must use the campground across the bridge on the other side of the river. Vendors and festival activities are planned for the area just upriver from the Game and Inland Fisheries boat ramp. No dinner or breakfast is planned so that crews can enjoy the local dining establishments.

Thursday Evening June 22nd- The batteau will again be hosted by the Solite Plant, where the Slate River meets the James. Dinner will be served by the Dilwyn Baptist Church youth group. Breakfast biscuits will be available to those who ordered and paid in advance in Wingina. Each batteaux will be given and order form and instructions on arrival in Wingina. Canoeists need to get with a batteaux group and add your order to theirs if you want breakfast.

Friday Evening June 23rd- Cartersville will again be the site for the batteaux stop Friday night. A dinner is planned, but Breakfast will not be available Saturday morning at this point.

Saturday June 24th- Batteaux will begin arriving at Maidens Landing boat ramp by mid afternoon depending on water levels. Wild meats will be available from “Tasty Critters” for the weary batteaux crews as well as the general public. After spending time enjoying the completion of the 120 mile adventure, the batteaux crews say their good byes for another year and load the boats onto trailers for the trip back home.
